Christine Vo recently graduated from UT-Arlington with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and minor in photography. Vo was the editor-in-chief at The Shorthorn, UT-Arlington’s newspaper, and she has received awards and scholarships from the Asian American Journalist Association, Headliners Foundation and Freedom of Information Foundation Texas. Her work focuses on breaking news and protest coverage. She has also done documentary and print work focusing on cultures such as balle folklórico, mariachi, lion dancing, the LGBTQ+ community and Black pageantry.
